Sparks of Time - Irish dance film

An Irish dance piece choreographed and filmed by Lena Kholkina as part of VODA Art Production / a creative project for Irish dancers/. Inspired by the music track by David Baron, I wanted to create a story about spirits of a place. When you are in an old building or a library etc you can hear things, see shadows and it often feels like there are traces of other times and numerous people. It feels like some distant ideas still live inside those places and you can catch one or two and get inspired, and when you go out you feel a bit different, like you are not just yourself. We built a story around it, a bit magical and mystical, in a place where unexpected things happen.
