Several shots of handsome footballer / cricketer Denis Compton (“in his winter role“) and other players kicking a ball around on the pitch. The team’s manager (probably Tom Whittaker) and trainer Billy Milne watch. George Swindon is seen in goal. Four players run down and up the steps of Highbury Stadium. Compton is seen lying on a bench as Billy Milne gives him some “short wave diathermy’ treatment. Player Noel Kelly hits a punchball. Alec Forbes uses a rowing machine, George Swindon uses an exercise bike. Ian MacPherson uses an arm stretching machine. Several players, including Compton, are seen in the communal bath.
