The power of words | Simeon Bennet | TEDxLa Cote International School

The future is full of uncertainty and challenges, but a group of our forward-thinking students took matters into their own hands by organizing a TEDx event with the theme “Where are we heading?“. The event brought together a diverse range of speakers to explore the pressing issues and exciting opportunities that lie ahead for our society. From sustainability to technology, gender equality to medicine, this event was a thought-provoking and inspiring discussion about the future. Simeon Bennett is the Senior Speechwriter to Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, a position he has held since 2017. Prior to joining WHO, Simeon was a health and science journalist with Bloomberg News, in Singapore and Geneva. Originally from Australia, Simeon studied English and philosophy at the University of Queensland, and journalism at RMIT University in Melbourne. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
