Ficus Microcarpa Bonsai

This is some heavy bonsai work on a Ficus Microcarpa that was kept as a patio tree for a long time. Judging by the growth rings on the branches I cut off, this tree is at least 25 years old, and with its nice shape and good taper, it is a very special little tree. The bonsai potential for this tree is incredible, but to realize it, the tree needs some major surgery. So I cut off all of the major branches, and gave the tree some serious palliative care in order to get it to regrow new branches closer to t
