Offenbach - La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein - Crespin, Corazza, Burles, -Toulouse - 1979

This delightful operetta by Offenbach was given in Toulouse december 1979 with Régine Crespin. She is the radiant center in this operetta. She has performed mostly more serious roles in opera, but this time she is the Comédienne by nature. She has a fine French cast around her ! The telecast is from late 70’s, the beginning of homevideo. The quality of picture and sound are inferior to what we are used to nowadays, But still, there is a lot to enjoy ! Crespin recorded this operetta commercially for French EMI together with Alain Vanzo and Burles. The conductor again was Michel Plasson!
