Presenting our first collaboration with the mighty DUPLOC imprint (@) in the form of “Yaksha“; taken from Mungk’s forthcoming debut album. Stream / Download / Vinyl: “Temple of Mungk“ is a conceptual album with “the narrative of a Monk who, after questioning his faith, embarks on an epic journey of rediscovery“. The album’s conceptual story is matched by a tracklist which glides through the Silk Road, utilising instruments and field recording influences from each host country along the way. From China and India to Middle East and North Africa, and back via sea. The album’s concept is inspired by the artists’ own mental health journey, and the route to achieving mindfulness. “My own experience is loosely the inspiration for the album’s concept, he’s [the monk is] questioning his beliefs of what he thinks he knows, in order to better himself and gain a clearer understanding of the world around in a far more colourful and exciting way.” ⚜️ Checkout & Supp
