Full title reads: “Somerset. The Duke ’in the West Countree’ (sic). The Duke of York opens new playing fields and visits old Comrades of the Somerset Light Infantry of which he is Colonel-in-Chief.“ Somerset, the West Country. Duke of York (Prince Albert, later King George VI) in civvies walks with other civilians and military men to inspect serving soldiers and veterans from the Somerset Light Infantry. He walks down a long rank of men shaking hands and talking to various old soldiers. A military band plays in the background.
