In this video, I would like to talk about Canada Tourist Visa Process Time After Biometrics 2024 When you apply for a Canada tourist visa today, how much time does it take for your visa to arrive? And how long might you have to wait? What’s the process, and how much time does each step take? In today’s video, we’ll discuss these details. If you haven’t subscribed to our channel yet, please subscribe. First of all, remember that the process for Canada tourist visa is mostly online. Offline, you have some activities to , if your file is taking time for the first time, you need to have your biometrics done. For biometrics, you’ll have to go to the VFS. Your file will be locked online first. When your file gets locked online, your biometric letter will arrive, and you’ll have to go to the VFS for biometrics. After you give your biometrics at the VFS, you just have to wait for your result. And if your file was refused earlier and you’re reapplying, and your biometrics are already done, in that case, you don’t need to give biometrics again. You just have to file again and the result, whenever you file, if your biometrics haven’t been done, it takes two days for the biometric letter to arrive. And the appointment for biometrics from VFS comes three to four days later. That means it takes around five to six days for your biometrics to be done after filing the application. After your file is locked and if your biometrics were done earlier, your biometrics get updated within one to two days. After your biometrics are updated, the processing time is taking 15 working days up to 20 working days as of today’s date. And in the upcoming time, it might increase a bit. The reason is that the Christmas holidays are here, and the New Year holidays have passed. So, what happens is that due to the holidays, some number of applications, which might be a bit large, take three to four days more in that. It could be that the results of the files filed in December could take 20 to 25 working days. That means there could be a difference of five working days depending times, what happens is that the visa officer quickly processes these, and the normal process time remains the same as before. So, assuming that you’re going to apply today’s date, if your biometrics aren’t done, it will take about a month for the entire process. And if your biometrics were done earlier, then that process takes about 20 to 25 working days. This time is being taken at today’s filing time. After your visa arrives, then after the PPR comes, you have to get your sticker that time of the process, approximately, let’s say 10 working days, because there’s a bit of delay happening. But still, within 10 working days, your passport comes back stamped. So, this is the complete process for the tourist visa.
