Snake Plant Propagation from Leaf Cuttings in Water; A Complete Guide to Snake Plant Care
Snake plant, also known as Dracaena Trifasciata ex. Sanseveria or mother-in-law’s tongue, is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae.
It is native to tropical regions of Africa, but is commonly grown as a houseplant around the world.
Snake plant has long, stiff, upright leaves that can reach up to several feet in height. The leaves are typically dark green with light green or yellow banding, but there are also varieties with solid green or variegated leaves.
It is a low-maintenance plant that thrives in a variety of light conditions, from low to bright, indirect light. It also tolerates a range of temperatures and can survive in dry indoor environments.
Snake plant is a popular houseplant because it is easy to care for and has air-purifying qualities. It is known to remove toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and xylene from the air.
Snake plant can be propagated through division or by planting leaf cuttings in water or soil. It is a slow-growing plant, but can eventually form large clumps over time.
While snake plant is generally considered safe for pets, it can cause digestive upset if ingested.
