Building a Gaming PC for the 1st time (Father & Son Build)

Every member of my family runs a mac for personal and business, so imagine my surprise when my youngest decided that instead of a Mac Book Pro he wanted a custom built Windows PC. “Blasphemy!“ I screamed. He had done his own independent research and learned that a Windows PC would be best for him. 1 for gaming (Modding to be specific) and 2 for animation and 3D work in the future. In the past, before my business I ran a Windows PC but had never custom built one. With the help of YouTube and the channel @TechSource we put together a plan. I gave him a budget of $800. Well for the sake of CPU/GPU power and overhead the budget ballooned to over $2000! My son was 12 at the time. He sourced every single part himself. With my guidance I gave him perceptive on the vital parts of a CPU and he in turn did his research. We built the PC together and for the most part had no major hiccups.
