Indian tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain and young American drummer Marcus Gilmore believe that creating music must be based on keeping the past but also exploring new possibilities. Gilmore found himself, to his delight, performing with Hussain, and being encouraged to compose his first piece for orchestra.
