Chimney Cake - Kürtős Kalács at Krepesz

Every morning at Krepesz () we start with baking fresh Chimney Cakes (Kürtős Kalács). Chimney Cake is a Hungarian sweet pastry, made with yeast-raised dough. Rolled on a wooden cylinder it’s baked in a rotisserie oven - traditionally over open fire. Sugar caramelizes on the outside creating a sweet, crispy crust, but inside it stays soft. Enjoy!
