The underground classic of paranoid conspiracy rap, “Last Dayz“ was released in 1995 for Onyx’s second album “All We Got Iz Us“. Whenever someone accuses Onyx of not being lyricists, Fredro points them to this song: a perfect encapsulation of the socio-economic system and the war on the poor in the United States. I saw them perform it in Montreal, live at 2:00 in the morning, 28 years later, and it still sounded relevant.
