The Fractal
The Fractal. Ambient modular semi-generative jam.
This semi-generative modular patch is my first complete Eurorack experiment.
Modules used:
Korg SQ-64: clock
MI Stages: main controller
MI Plaits: resonant stringy lead sound
MI Beads: FX
Boog: drone
Crave: upper tiny rhythmic sequence
Stages mode
-----------
MI Stages is using Qiemem firmware in Advanced Segment Generator mode
Stages routing
--------------
C6: Logistic map, bipolar; Gate: main clock; out to C1 CV
C5: Gate generator; Gate: main clock, out to Plaits TRIG
C4: Clocked LFO (main clock x4 mult.); Gate: main clock, out to C3 Gate & C2 Gate & Boog LC/GATE & Crave Seq. Reset
C3: Clocked LFO, bipolar; Gate: Clock from C4; Out to Plaits TIMBRE & Plaits MORPH
C2: S&H / Atten.; CV: C1 out; Gate: clock from C4; Out to Boog OSC 1 V/OCT & Crave OSC CV
C1: Slew / Atten., quantized (5th); CV: C6 out; Out to C2 CV & Plaits V/OCT
Plaits
------
Plaits model: Inharmonic string
Plaits routing
--------------
TRIG: main clock
V/OCT: Stages C1 out
TIMBRE & MORPH: Stages C3 out
Beads modes
-----------
Beads grain mode: Clocked delay
Beads output mode: Scorched cassette (Red)
Beads routes
------------
Seed: main clock
Inputs: from Doepfer A-138s L&R
Crave & Boog
------------
Boog does pretty standard drone “to taste“. Oscillators are tuned as 4’/4’ 5/8’, Shark/Shark/Triangle
Crave does the “quick upper sequence“ of a plucky/ringy sound “to taste“ modulated by the Boog’s LFO (VCF Cutoff Volume)
