Great Expectations, one of Charles Dickens’ finest works was first published as a weekly serial in Dickens’ literary journal All the Year Round, from 1860 until 1861. A young orphan Pip dreams of one day becoming a gentleman and winning the heart of the beautiful but superior, Estella. When he inherits money from a mysterious source Pip takes his chance and moves to London, leaving his old friends and values behind.
