The USA has created its own analogue of the “Grad“ MLRS The Americans have tested a new unified transport-combat container for their MLRS. The container developed under the Direct Support Fires Technology (DSFT) program holds 30 rockets of caliber, which is mm, comparable to the 122-mm rockets of the “Grad“ system. Having studied combat experience, including the fighting in Ukraine, the USA found that the 227-mm GMLRS rockets are sometimes excessive in range and power. The firing range of the new rockets is estimated at 40 kilometers. The container can be mounted on M270, HIMARS MLRS, and the new NRTK. The new wheeled NRTK MLRS differs in that, unlike the single rocket pack on the HIMARS, it is equipped with two such packs, like the M270. The modularity of American MLRS allows swapping packs, installing 60 rockets, 12 GMLRS, 2 tactical ATACMS, or 4 PrSM. Source: Cyberspec News
