Driver trapped inside car as Spanish floods hit

Torrential rain in Eastern Spain prompted a wave of destruction on Wednesday evening, with several people having to be rescued from their cars as roads turned into rivers in minutes. The city most affected was Murcia, the capital of an area popular with British holidaymakers. In just 10 minutes of incredibly intense rainfall, 32 litres per square metre was recorded in Murcia, swelling to 43 litres after 20 minutes of the downpour. #spain #flood #weather
