Lethal Weapon (1987) - Opening (w/ Originally Intended Opening Theme: “The Weapon“)

Lethal Weapon is one of the best franchises ever made, and the first movie alone is a landmark in action films. That being said, whoever decided in the editing room to put “Jingle Bell Rock,“ over the opening scene needs to get slapped in the face. It’s a great song, but it doesn’t fit the tone of the movie, even if it does take place during Christmas. I have come across the ACTUAL, and VERY BADASS opening score track done by Eric Clapton shredding on guitar with saxophone legend David Sanborne, and composer Michael Kamen, called “The Weapon,“ which was meant to open the film but was cut at the last second. I have put the track over the scene where it belongs. The opening just draws you in that much more, and screams Lethal Weapon the minute the music starts. NOTE: This video is PURELY for entertainment purposes only, and all rights belong to Richard Donner, Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, and Warner Bros. Studios. Enjoy. :D
