Cloud Racing - The Great Northern

Cloud Racing is a light, joyful expression of ambient cinematic music that is based around an upbeat sequence with a light, almost child-like melody over the top. The idea is to communicate a sense of awe and wonder at the world around us, using large scale cinematic footage and mimicking the “clouds“ with an analog video synthesizer. The Great Northern is an instrumental, electronically influenced project from producer Ben Jackson. Known for his work with singer-songwriters and bands such as Sister Hazel, The Great Northern was inspired by Ben’s experimentation with analog synthesizers and his desire to learn sound design, as well has his fascination with putting music to film. The Great Northern combines the sounds of analog synthesizers with acoustic instrumentation to create a cinematic sonic landscape.
