Cyborg went on to face Buchecha in the final where he won on points to become the ADCC 2013 Absolute Champion. This was Keenan Cornelius first ADCC. He took Bronze in his weight division after losing a razor thin decision to Romulo Barral in the Semi Finals. That weekend Keenan got impressive victories against World class grapplers such as Clark Gracie, Dean Lister and Oskar Piechota.
