CCBC Music Forum 9-18-2015 The Beijing Guitar Duo

The Beijing Guitar Duo Composed of guitarist Meng Su and Yameng Wang, the Beijing Guitar Duo has performed throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. The duo has also toured extensively with their mentor, renowned guitarist, Manuel Barrueco. Their performances and recordings have impressed the public with “an ability and artistry that exceeds their years.” They were born in the coastal city of Qingdao, China and came to the partnership with exceptional credentials, including numerous competition awards. In addition to concertizing, the members of the duo share a love for teaching which brings them to major conservatories all over the world for master classes and to adjudicate competitions. The Beijing Guitar Duo’s performance is generously supported by a Maryland State Art Council Touring Artists Grant. Description
