SPES Dusack Testing March 2014

This is our first testing of the SPES dusack. As they felt a bit heavy we were a bit cautious, both in fencing and with the force used. The fencer with knee protection is an experienced military sabre fencer with only a little experience of dusack fencing and consequently he felt awkward with the shorter weapon. The other fencer has experience from Joachim Meyer’s dusack teachings and felt awkward with the opponent’s sabre style and great skill in it... Both were quite fatigued from preceding sparring ses
