Before the home’s construction, the land was sold several times, having many owners. The property was divided into two 50-acre lots at one point, eventually merging back together only a few years later. From 1867-1904, the Cook family owned and farmed the lands bringing stability to the ownership of the property. In 1905, the Cook Family moved, leaving the land to a new farmer. From 1900-1970, the lands didn’t change much. Farming and agricultural uses appear to predominate on-site at the subject lands and in the surrounding area.
