The Hunt-Lenox globe is the second-oldest surviving terrestrial globe and also the oldest known globe to depict the Americas. The globe is covered in hidden details, including the Latin phrase, HC SVNT DRACONES, or “here be dragons.” The globe sits in the New York Public Library today.
