OBS x264 CPU Encoder Quality Comparison | Detailed Guide (Is x264 really worth it?) Hi evreyone today i will be showing you a long awaited video as this took SOOOO long to record and edit and work out the system on how exactly to do it :P this is my video for nvenc vs x264. I have literally been using x264 since 2014 for my older videos so i have a general idea how exactly it works and how x264 vs nvenc works against each other. The reason why I have made this comparison is because when i was researching what cpu to buy for my dual pc setup I wanted to know what kind of quality i can get out of OBS with rtx nvenc vs x264 as both of these encoder are amazing at what they do and performance wise too!!
