Did you know? Alligators have a really strong bite. Snap But… their jaws are quite weak at opening. This means… a human can easily hold their jaws tight. Wow that’s impressive. Also… alligators are reptiles. Can you name some other reptiles? That’s right… Lizards, snakes, turtles, tortoises and crocodiles are also reptiles. Like all reptiles, alligators are cold blooded. This means their blood isn’t warm like mammals. So they love to sun bake to warm up. Alligators and crocodiles are very similar. Can you tell the difference? Alligators have U-shaped jaws. While crocodiles have longer V-shaped jaws. Alligators are smaller than crocs, and darker in colour.
