Book flip: Light and Shade in Watercolor by Hazel Soan

As my one year anniversary for self-learning watercolour is coming up, I did some quick reflections. I saved up screenshots of watercolour artworks that I like and think about: Why I like these artworks? What aspects make them great? And what’s the gap between these artworks and mine? This one could make into a bigger reflection type of video, which is coming up in a few weeks. However, the main thing I feel short for is how to use watercolour to paint “light“ and so I looked at some books with this topic and in the end I found this one. I am still going through this book slowly. Some parts of the first chapter “clicked“ when I was doing watercolour the other day - it is making sense to me.
