This week’s UK rankings show that The Rolling Stones’ new album Hackney Diamonds is at number one, tying the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, and Robbie Williams for the record for the most number one studio albums. It is the band’s first album with brand-new songs in eighteen years and their eleventh album to reach the top spot. With 14 number-one albums overall, the band and Robbie Williams are now tied with The Beatles, barely behind them with 16. This statistic does not include reissues, greatest hits, or live albums.
