Fiore dei Liberi longsword 12 Posta drill

Hello, my name is Phil Swift from LCC HEMA club. This is a video demonstrating a drill I use to go through Fiore’s 12 guards. Our club has just recently gotten into Fiore since we received our copy of Flowers of Battle by Tom Leoni & Gregory D Mele. Ive been told by my mentor that, in the Novati manual mentions that long guard is not held on the center line, but instead is held on the left side(Novati, pg 154.) I apologize, I am still new to Fiore, and we just started working off “Flowers of Battle“ by Tom Leoni and Gregory Mele (which means we’ve only had the Getty manual to work with.) Also, the fendente, Ive been told are not suppose to come down the middle line, for the middle line is reserved for thrusts. So apologies for having the fendente come straight down, I only did it that way as an easier way to get into Long guard, since I had thought it was held in the middle(Guy Windsor’s 12 guard video via youtube also showed it being in the middle.) Anyway enjoy, I will fix my few errors once I take a closer look at the Novati version. Otherwise, please take from the flow of the drill. Part 2: This is a more advance version of the Drill. It is almost the same drill with the addition of attacks made in-between each guard. I hope people will take from this and come up with their own part 2 version. I want to encourage people to find ways to link up the guards in-between each attack, and make it flow! Thank you for watching, Please feel free to comment.
