Fiona Boyes - 4 string Cigarbox: ‘Don’t Leave Your Feet at Home’, with Johnny Sansone (accordion)

Video #4 from the album ‘Voodoo in the Shadows’ is a jaunty Louisiana-inspired song - ‘Don’t Leave Your Feet at Home’. An unusual paring of 4 string lap-style cigar box guitar and accordion, this song was rolling round in my calling out for that squeeze box! The opportunity to put together an Australian tour with wonderful award-winning New Orleans musician Johnny Sansone created the perfect chance to make it happen. Thanks, Johnny! The images include a bit of stop-time animation, The Preacher, band members and photos of some very cool venues & events I’ve played in recent years. OK, blues people, how many places can you name? Dedicated to the memory of our late mate ‘Uncle’ Bob Fuller, who loved to dance and left us with these words - ‘Just keep living, loving and dancing. Life is magical.’ Musicians: Fiona Boyes (4 string cigar box guitar/vocals), Johnny Sansone (accordion), Tim Neal (bass), Mark Grunden (drums/percussion) Album: ‘Voodoo in the Shadows’ (Fresh! from Reference Recordings) Folk art: Fiona Boyes Album available at (USA/Worldwide) Or at & Only Blues Music (Aust/NZ)
