Virginia Women’s Swim Team Captains Speak Out Against Trans Student on Team

In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, the captains of the University of Virginia’s women’s swim team revealed their “demoralizing“ struggle to try and convince a trans student to not compete on their squad after administrators failed to intervene. The captains, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that they were concerned about the impact that the trans student’s participation would have on the team’s morale and performance. They also said that they felt that the administrators were not taking their concerns seriously. “We’ve tried to talk to the administrators about our concerns, but they’ve just told us that we have to be inclusive and accepting,“ one of the captains said. “But we feel like they’re not listening to us.
