The Rockwell B-1 Lancer – nicknamed “The Bone” (from B-One) – is a heavy bomber capable of supersonic speeds in use by the United States Air Force. The characteristic feature of the B-1 are the variable-sweep wings. The B-1B entered service with the Strategic Air Command (SAC) in 1986.
