I wish this kind of “abstract“ music could help people find sanctuary in sounds wherever they are, to help them relax or meditate, and for the ones sick or wounded if not to heal then just to bring some moments of relief or serve as a kind of an anesthesia. Dedicated to my dear friend and mentor Alexey Denisov. The sound of celtic harp strings triggered by the breeze was recorded live together with the video. You actually see the process of recording on the picture. An overdub improvisation on electric harp was recorded afterwards. Tech. info: Acoustic harp was recorded through AKG C411 contact microphone into Zoom H4N Pro portable recorder. Electric harp “Manticore“ (custom built by Eugeny “Jack“ Kazenkov with pickups and electronics designed by Nikolay Savinov, with some help on cabling from Dmitry Razorenov) was recorded in the studio.
