SIX STEAM SPECTACULAR: With Banking, Clanking and Synchronised Sound!

Probably the most ambitious Neville Grove video yet - this one features 5 steam hauled trains plus a banking locomotive pushing hard at the rear of a scale length freight. See the whole banking procedure from the approaching goods train “whistling ahead“ for assistance, right through to the banking engine dropping away from the guards van at the summit and returning for its next duty at the rear of another train. The continuous sequence at “Vigo Lock“ shows both locos working hard on the same train. The video footage has been accompanied, uninterrupted, by a classic Peter Handford recording of two clapped out, but ever strong 8F’s on the Heart of Wales Line in the 1960’s near Llangunllo. The scene was created on the model railway using two 8F’s working a train of matching length and speed as the archive recording.
