1975 - SOVIET JAZZ FUNK - Georgia / Dielo – Niblia / დიელო - ნიბლია / Диэло – Синичка
“Dielo” was founded in Tbilisi, the capital of Soviet Georgia in 1961 by singers and musicians Vakhtang Kikabidze (later on – the major Soviet Georgian pop-star and celebrity), Soso Ebralidze, Amiran Ebralidze and Giorgi Leonidze. The quartet was named “Dielo”, which means in Georgian language something like “song flying to sunrise”.
The band has always been faithful to the unique tradition of Georgian vocal polyphony, with attention to different styles of music – fusion of Folk, Psychedelic Rock, Jazz and Funk.
The band released 9 LPs over its career. “Niblia” (“Chaffinch”) was recorded for their 1975’s album (Диэло-Диэло) which was re-released 5 times.
