Fantasy Summary
Really good vision and puck-handling skills. Not a flashy player but with his hockey sense and good shot, he could be a top-six forward. Capable of playing both center and wing. Needs to improve his skating.
Mysak excels most in the offensive zone is as a forechecker. He takes smart routes to the puck, funnels opposition defenders towards support, and anticipates play well generally. He’s a north-south attacker and often attacks in a straight line. -EliteProspects 2020 NHL Draft Guide
Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 30th: “The Czech import arrived in Hamilton after the World Junior Championships and immediately hit the ground running. He showed off his two-way game and an excellent shot at the OHL level. “
Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 21st: “He plays a straight-line game that could probably use more of an east-west element (particularly in the way he involves his teammates) but he can crack open a shift with the puck on his stick, he’s quick from a standstill and he does a wonderful job finding soft spots in the offensive zone to get open.“
Chris Peters - ESPN - June 30th: “Mysak is a very strong skater with good offensive instincts. He averaged over a point per game with Hamilton, and there is some two-way value, as he shows good effort at both ends of the ice.“
Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 1st: “A quality finisher who can read the play quickly and efficiently. His stride could use some cleaning up, but he moves around well. Transitioned well to the OHL midseason.“
Mike G. Morreale - - Mar. 20th: “The left-shot forward plays a smart game with smooth hands and a quick release. He had 25 points (15 goals, 10 assists) in 22 games after joining Hamilton on Jan. 18.“

Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Mar. 4th: “Has excelled since coming to North America. Plays a skill game with pace and patience.“
Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Jan. 29th: “Jan Mysak has come over to North America after spending the first half of his year in the Czech league. He’s made an immediate impact on the Hamilton Bulldogs of the OHL, scoring a goal in his second game. Mysak is a smart player that plays an up-tempo game. “
