Teenage Engineering OP–Z Stable Diffusion

Modem collaborated with Teenage Engineering to create a digital tool that translates music into real-time AI generated imagery. Together with creative studio Bureau Cool, we connected the Teenage Engineering OP–Z synthesizer to Stable Diffusion; an advanced AI system capable of creating original images from a description in natural language. Inspired by synesthesia theory the extension translates audio metrics such as pitch, key, notes, rhythm and BPM into Stable Diffusion prompts describing color, shapes and movements of the imagery.
