Double Tenth day: the disappearing flags of the Republic of China in Hong Kong

Double Tenth commemorates the 1911 Wuchang uprising, which led to the establishment of the Republic of China. The national day of the Republic of China continues to be celebrated in Taiwan, where the Kuomintang fled after losing the civil war. Many Kuomintang supporters insist on celebrating Double Tenth in Hong Kong, even after 1997. But a Mainland businessman recently purchased the Hung Lau, the main location for Double Tenth events, jeopardizing future festivities.
