Why Japan’s New PM Fumio Kishida Is The First In Years To Live In The ’Haunted’ Official Residence

For the first time in nearly a decade, a Japanese PM has decided to live in the official residence for the leader. On December 11, new Japanese PM, Fumio Kishida moved into the two-storey ’haunted’ mansion. The century-old structure is a beautiful monument overshadowed by an ominous history. Kishida is reportedly the first PM to live in the official residence since Yoshihiko Noda in 2012. The stone and brick mansion, that stretches across 55,789 square feet, was opened in 1929. What was meant to be a symbol of Japan’s entry into early 20th century modernism is now considered ‘haunted’. #JapanesePM #FumioKishida. #JapanPMHouseHaunted.
