Prog Sessions #1 with FLOWJOB on radiOzora - June 2013

PROG SESSIONS WITH FLOWJOB We are starting our Prog Sessions series with an exclusive radiOzora show from FLOWJOB on Thursday, 6th June 6pm CET. A quirky progressive mix with lots of hot new unreleased material in it, not to be missed! The Flowjob project was formed right after the Millenium when Joakim Hjorne - after years of playing in a live band - bought his first Virus synthesizer and started to make progressive psychedelic trance tunes with it. His former band member and childhood friend also joined the project and they worked on the Flowjob music for a few years, even finished the first full-length album together before Mads Tinggaard left. Joakim has been listening to electronic dance music since 1993 and his early psychedelic influences were Eat Static and Juno Reactor. The very first Flowjob EP called Super Duper Supernova came out in the beginning of 2002 on a german label Love Sonic Disco. After some more sound perfecting studio time, Flowjob released its very first track on Iboga Records, on the famous compilation FX. The full-length debut album called Support Normality got released in 2006 and during the past years two more Flowjob studio albums came out on the legendary Danish progressive label: Zentertainment in 2008 and Sway in 2011. The original warm morning sound of Flowjob evolved a lot during the past decade and while delivering the massive bass and other classic progressive trance elements the new tracks are in the same time very experimental, crazy, funky and unusual: in other words extremely psychedelic. Joakim’s latest inspiration is a little bit of sarcasm with track titles such as “We Don’t Wanna Scare Your Children“ and “Feng Shui Nightmare“ in that direction, but not all of the new tracks are. “I have an uplifting EP coming out on Iono next week (10th June) - he says. “Furthermore I have a two track EP coming up with Sad Paradise (former Broken Toy from South Africa) that will contain a remix of “We Don’t Wanna Scare Your Children“ and a versus track, both in a bit dark direction. Apart from that I try to collect enough of my own tracks for a new album, hopefully it will be out beginning of Autumn.“ Besides the Flowjob project Joakim is working on tracks under a new alter ego: as Joakim Bronnum he is producing trippy house music as well. “That gives me inspiration also to make more trance actually. I try to constantly push my barriers.“ We are starting our Prog Sessions series with the first exclusive show from Flowjob, prepared for radiOzora listeners with a lot of unreleased material never heard before. The versus track with Motion Drive along with the Flowjob remix made by Motion Drive’s earlier hit The Last Jedi is coming soon on Iono Records and the Critical Choice remix on Iboga, but you can have a taste of two brand new Flowjob gems hot right out of the studio: Eat Peyote and King For A Day. And there is more to come from Flowjob on radiOzora, both on the Trance and the Chill channel so better stay tuned... PROG SESSIONS #1: FLOWJOB Exclusive radiOzora Show 1.
