ALEKSANDR EREMENKO BIOGRAPHY Aleksandr Eremenko is a renowned karateka from Russia, born on February 23, 1988, in Moscow. He is affiliated with the International Kyokushinkaikan Karate (IKO) federation and represents the Russian National Karate Kyokushinkai Federation. Eremenko trains at his own dojo, the Eremenko Dojo, under the guidance of his trainer, Sergei Vsevolodov. Eremenko’s journey in the world of Kyokushin began in 1995 when he started training in the discipline. In 2012, he embarked on a coaching career alongside his competitive pursuits. Throughout his career, Eremenko has achieved remarkable success in various national and international championships. In the Russian Championship held on October 22-23, 2016, in Moscow, he secured the first-place title in the heavyweight category ( 90 kg), defeating Anton Gulyaev. He repeated this triumph in the same championship on October 7-8, 2017, by defeating Igor Zagainov. Eremenko also dominated the Russian Cup, earning the first-place position in the 90 kg weight category and defeating Kovalenko Konstantin in the tournament held on March 9-10, 2019, in Moscow. Beyond his victories on the national stage, Eremenko has showcased his skills in international competitions as well. Notably, he emerged as the champion in the 33rd European Championship held in Wroclaw, Poland, on May 18, 2019, in the 90 kg category, defeating Constantin Dogari from Moldova. In the 6th World Championship held in Tokyo, Japan, on April 16, 2016, he secured the second-place position in the 90 kg category, narrowly losing to Shohei Kamada from Japan. He also clinched the first-place title in the 14th European Open Karate Championship in Katowice, Poland, on December 6, 2015, defeating Eldar Ismailov from Ukraine. Furthermore, Eremenko has demonstrated his prowess in American competitions. He emerged as the winner in the All American Open 2015 in New York on June 27, 2015, defeating Ilya Karpenko. He also secured the first-place position in the All American Open 2014, held in New York on June 21, 2014, by defeating Zahari Damyanov. Eremenko’s achievements in international championships include a second-place finish in the 12th World Open Tournament held in Tokyo, Japan, from November 22-24, 2019, where he lost to Mikio Ueda from Japan. In the 29th European Championship held in Berlin, Germany, on May 9, 2020, he claimed the first-place title in the -90 kg category, defeating Patryk Sypien from Poland.
