Naval Legends: Bismarck

Battleship Bismarck is perhaps one of the most famous ships of World War II. She was the perfect embodiment of the predominant idea of her time that only steel behemoths with powerful armament and strong armor could dominate the seas. The fate of battleship Bismarck represents both the greatest triumph of that idea, and at the same time—its dramatic collapse. Naval Legends usually features ships that still exist today. But you’ve been asking us to create an episode about Bismarck for a very long time, so we decided to make an exception! Of course, the only fitting format for this episode would be Naval Legends, because the purpose of this show is to inform you about the history of famous ships and battles of the 20th century.
