DAMIEN - Stop This War 1989 #80sheavymetal #classicheavymetal #oldschoolheavymetal #heavymetal #heavy_metal #80s

🔘Directly from Toledo, but not from La Mancha but from Ohio (US), today one of the countless Damiens who for immemorial years have paraded around Planet Metal paying homage to the devout Metallian cult visits us at the Portal. Unfortunately, their career did not provide more than three competent studio albums in which they were responsible for demonstrating the potential that they undeniably treasured, and as proof of this I am going to briefly refer you to the second hit in their catalogue, ’Stop This War’ (ZYX Metallic, 1989), through which they garnered their best reviews from the specialized press and of course the public. The truth is that DAMIEN did not enjoy excessive popularity until well into the 80’s - they were formed at the beginning of that same decade - however, as soon as they saw the slightest opportunity to throw themselves into the ring, they presented themselves with three very outstanding releases, forged between 1988 and 1995, among which - in my point of view - this imposing battering ram baptized with the name ’Stop This War’ stands out. Mostly, what can be found searching through the grooves of this LP is classic American Power Metal, very much in the style of that countless amazing bands that inhabited the earth during that endearing period between 1984 and 1990 (METAL CHURCH, WWIII OR LETHAL . In short, a work extremely recommended for fans of authentic Power Metal or traditional American Heavy Metal of a lifetime (WASP, CRIMSON GLORY, LAAZ ROCKIT, JAG PANZER, etc.) whom it will undoubtedly leave with a huge smile of ear to ear.
