3 Kinds of Music: Emma O’Sullivan

Galway Music Residency’s ’3 Kinds of Music’ Digital Pop-up Festival kicks off with a toe-tapping set by sean nós dancer Emma O’Sullivan with Shane Fahy (guitar and voice) and Ronan Flaherty (fiddle) on Friday. This digital version of the renowned multi-genre series, curated by Matthew Berrill, takes place on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August 2021 and will feature some of Ireland’s best emerging and established musicians in pop-up gigs throughout the weekend. The festival continues on Saturday, with a performance by our resident ensemble ConTempo Quartet with cellist Aoife Burke who perform a lively Boccherini quintet. The weekend will conclude on Sunday with a moving performance by Galway Artist Niamh Regan who will be joined by ConTempo Quartet, Aoife Burke and Matthew Berrill for a stunning finale. The performances, which were filmed in The Mick Lally Theatre by Salty Productions will be available to enjoy for free on Facebook and YouTube at 1pm each day. Donations welcome
