No electricity, food or water in Gaza as Israeli siege intensifies

Israeli jet fighters battered the Gaza Strip Monday in retaliation for a surprise attack from Hamas over the weekend that reportedly killed 700 Israelis, according to Israel Defense Spokesperson Jonathan Conricus. The Gaza Strip is now without water, food and electricity as the complete siege continues into the night. Israel has so far launched at least 800 airstrikes on Gaza, killing at least 500 Palestinians, and called for a total blockade of the Gaza Strip.
