Delivery of 18 US M109 Paladin 155mm howitzers Enters Ukraine border The United States Department of Defense announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, the US will provide the Ukrainian army with 18 M109 Paladin 155mm tracked self-propelled howitzers. Citing information from Laura Cooper, deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, artillery remains an important capability for Ukraine, The PDA (Presidential Drawdown Authority) will provide 18 Paladin 155 mm self-propelled howitzers, 36 105 mm towed howitzers, and thousands of rounds to supply both systems. Other countries have supplied Ukraine with M109 155mm self-propelled howitzers including Latvia which has contributed six M109 howitzers, Norway with 23 M109A3G, and Britain 20 M109A4 Ex-Belgium.
