This film was produced by Jack Lieb Productions Inc, Chicago and sponsored by the National Safety Council in conjunction with the Green Cross for Safety and is the eighth episode of an educational film series where each episode describes a different element of driving. This short film is broken up into various fictional scenarios that highlight the necessity of alert or defensive driving in order to prevent pedestrian accidents while simultaneously presented and narrated by American radio and television broadcaster, Hugh Downs. Additionally, the film consists of footage that depicts typical suburban small town landscapes and houses as well as various car models from the 1970s.
