Fixing Long Rests in D&D 5e

A long long time ago, when I played D&D 5e rules as written, it always baffled me that you could just sleep on the side of the road during your quest and recover to full hit points and spells. In this video, I look back and to other systems and how they handle resting mechanics in game. I also share my homebrew resting mechanics so you can use them in your campaign if your experience as a DM is similar to mine and want to more easily challenge your players.
