Large Active Sunspot Regions Facing Earth - Solar Flare Alert: January 7. 2024.

Solar activity is set to remain high over the coming days as two large active regions of the sun facing Earth. There are currently 10 numbered active sunspots on the visible solar disk. Two of these sunspots (3536, 3539) have ’beta-gamma’ magnetic fields that pose a threat for M-class solar flares. Both regions are directly facing Earth, so any eruption will be geoeffective.
