Honduran President applies to BRICS-led bank HQ in Shanghai, exploring cooperation with China

Honduran president Xiomara Castro on Saturday visited the headquarters of New Development Bank in Shanghai and met with Dilma Rousseff, ex-president of Brazil and current head of NDB, also known as BRICS Bank. Honduras also announced it has officially submitted an application for the bank’s membership. After that, President Castro visited Huawei’s research center in Shanghai and was received by Liang Hua (Haward Liang),Board Chairman of Huawei. Earlier on Friday night, part of the Honduran delegation went for a boat ride on the Huangpu River and enjoyed the beautiful view of both the Bund and the modern skyline.
